Where do the questions come from?

Questions come from a combination of reading, Internet searches, and life experiences of growing up Black in America. All questions are within reach and don't come from any unreasonably in depth searches. In short, it's knowledge everyone can or should know!

What is The Cookout Trivia?

The Cookout Trivia is a live trivia game show app with sponsored products and cash prizes. Play live every day as a live contestant in multiplayer trivia games hosted by one of our acclaimed hosts. Win real money for getting answers right. It's that simple.

How much does it cost?

Absolutely nothing. It's free on the App Store (for iPhone and iPad) and Google Play Store.

How do you play?

When the game starts you will receive a push notification. After that you should open the app and watch video stream of the game, answering questions one by one.

Is that real money?

Yep. It's sent straight to your PayPal when you cashout after a win. The cashout minimum is $50. Balances and payouts can take up to 24 hours to be updated.

What is my referral code?

Your referral code is a special combination of characters, generated uniquely for your account. Tell your friends to use your referral code when signing up and you will receive a Life. My friend joined using my referral code but I haven't received a Life. Confirm with your friend they used your referral code and spelled it correctly. Only one Life will be given. If they didn't use your code when signing up, they can add it in Settings.

Where can I add a referral code after registering?

On your home profile page, go to Settings by hitting the three dot icon and, if you haven't used a referral code, you will be able to add one here! You can only apply a referral code once.

Can I change my username?

You need to contact us directly for this purpose: support@thecookouttrivia.com

How do I add my PayPal account?

Only users that have already won the game need to enter a PayPal account. You can do so by tapping on your balance and entering an email address.

I'm having a problem processing a cash out. What should I do?

Contact support@thecookouttrivia.com with your username and we'll be glad to investigate your issue. Keep in mind that your PayPal may not update for 24-48 hours after cashout is complete. Large prizes may take longer.
